1. The Fictionistas (http://www.fictionistas.blogspot.com/). These girls are funny, the LJ's design is cool, and they post substantial entries every week day. Author Rhonda Stapleton gets extra points for entertaining me via email when we worked for the same corporate bigwigs. Woo hoo!

2. BookEnds (http://bookendslitagency.blogspot.com/). The BookEnds agents share so much wisdom with their readers on what exactly goes on in publishing. And they also update every weekday.

3. Cynthia Lord (http://cynthialord.livejournal.com/). Every one of her posts reads like poetry. Plus she's been sharing every step of her journey from unpublished to Newbery Honor Winning author with detail, photos, and humility. She is amazing.

4. Cynthia Leitich Smith (http://cynleitichsmith.livejournal.com/). Her updates about the kidlit industry are thorough, her giveaways are many, and her generosity is unending. So much information and many links in every post.

5. Kelly Fineman (http://kellyrfineman.livejournal.com/). Her posts are thoughtful, her quotes are inspiring, and her poetry is fabulous. I love posts that make me think.
